Follow what truly makes you feel fulfilled, not just what the media promotes.
Sometimes I wonder where my thoughts come from. Is it from heaven or is there a thought-producing machine in the brain? What even influences them?
While I don’t know how the brain works, I think ideas come mainly from what stimulates the brain through what we pay attention to.
Our surroundings, peers, life circumstances, and most importantly, social media.
We’re in the creators’ era. Hooks, visuals, and catchy phrases are crafted to grab our attention in less than a second.
Then the creator’s idea is presented to us. But at some point, I realized all of this shapes us. It shapes our desires, our goals, the kind of people we want to be with, the houses we want to live in, the money we want to make, the clothes we want to wear.
And in the process, we slowly lose the pieces that make us unique, choosing instead to conform to someone else’s perception. That’s the power of influence.
A lot of advice and tips seem helpful until you actually try them. Then you realize the best advice is what works for you and supports your mission, not what’s been glorified.
This is just a reminder to embrace your uniqueness. Follow what truly makes you feel fulfilled, not just what the media promotes.
From someone who’s been there: You are not alone, and every step you take counts ♥️.
