One day, something I do may pave the way for the rest.

Consistency is all about doing things the same way over time to achieve consistent results. It helps us improve, build trust with others, and reach our goals.

This has been something I’ve struggled with as an introvert, especially when it comes to sharing my work or content online. I used to give up after a week or two when I didn’t see results, convincing myself that my contributions weren’t needed.

This led me to believe there was no reason to stress about putting myself out there. The root of this struggle often stemmed from comparison and impatience with aspects I couldn’t control, like how people reacted to my work. My motivation wasn’t driven by my own desires but rather by the advice of others, pushing me to create.

Now, I understand that there’s no need to worry about others' opinions of my craft. Often, progress isn’t immediately visible, but that doesn’t mean it’s wasted; it’s simply being stored for the day when my efforts will shine through. One day, something I do may pave the way for the rest.

The most important thing is that you grow beyond your previous capacity and capability, not just to showcase your work, but as a means of documenting your journey, progress, failures, insights, and uniqueness. Someday, someone who shares an interest in what you do will find you.

Using the bamboo tree as an analogy, we can learn the importance of patience and resilience.

The bamboo takes years to grow strong roots before it shoots up rapidly, demonstrating that strong foundations are essential for long-term success. This highlights the significance of preparation and hard work. Additionally, the flexibility of bamboo serves as a reminder to adapt to challenges and remain strong in the face of adversity.

Whenever you feel the pressure to quit because you’re not seeing the desired results, remember the bamboo tree and what it teaches about the importance of strong foundations over time for achieving long-term success.

From someone who’s been there: You are not alone, and every step you take counts ♥️.
